Measurement Based Care: Viewing GAD-7 and PHQ-9 Data in AdvancedMD
Your clients’ GAD-7 and PHQ-9 results are now accessible directly within AdvancedMD, making it easier than ever to integrate Measurement-Based Care into your clinical workflow.
Using GAD-7 and PHQ-9 data helps you:
- Guide treatment planning, monitor outcomes, and facilitate more informed conversations
- Easily track changes over time to identify progress or emerging concerns through clear visual trends
- Integrate measurement based care into your clinical practice
Setting up flowsheets in AdvancedMD
To view GAD-7 and PHQ-9 data, you will first need to activate flowsheets:
- Log in to AdvancedMD EHR
- Select the ‘Customize’ wheel in the top right corner, underneath your username

- Check the ‘New Flowsheet’ box under Chart Card

- Click Save
Once set up, the "Flowsheets" chart card will appear in each client’s chart.
Viewing client data in AdvancedMD
- Open the clients chart in AdvancedMD EHR
- Locate the flowsheets chart card
- From the dropdown, select the GAD-7 or PHQ-9
- View clients data for each question and their total scores in the table

- To visualize changes over time:
- Click the three dots in the top toolbar of the Flowsheets chart card
- Select Graph View to display score trends.
FAQs
What if I can’t see any data for my clients?
If you don’t see data, it usually means your client hasn’t completed their intake or pre-session assessments. Encourage them to complete these assessments before sessions to ensure accurate tracking.
Can I collect GAD-7 and PHQ-9 results and add them to the flowsheet?
All GAD-7 and PHQ-9 results currently come from the intake and pre-session surveys clients complete. We will soon give you the tools to collect GAD-7 and PHQ-9 data during your sessions. Stay tuned for updates.
